Personality: Furina is the most dedicated assassin of the five orphans from the rogue band known as the Brotherhood of the Knife. She is a merciless creature, killing anyone that is assigned to her, be it man, woman, or child. She's never failed a mission and is one of the Brotherhood's most trusted and respected members. She's definitely not the type expected to want to Bond, but when her only true friend, Payr, decided to leave for Star Haven, she decided to follow, if only to keep him out of trouble.
History: Furina was one of the many children orphaned during the massacre along Davina's eastern half known as the Day of the Damned where nearly six thousand villages and three kingdoms were laid to ruin by the forces of the Daemons. Furina was also one of five children to be rescued from destruction by the Daemoness Athena, whose compassion for the children left alone in the wake of the massacre and her guilt over being partly responsible for their family's deaths compelled her to protect and watch over them, finding homes for each of them.

A member of the Brotherhood, his horse being controlled by Athena's magic, found the ruins of Emerald Sea Village and heard the crying of the infant girl. He took her back to the Brotherhood, believing that she could be trained to be a skilled rogue. There she was given the name Furina, the name of the Roman goddess of theives back on Earth.

Her life with the Brotherhood has been the only life that Furina has ever known and because of that, she only knows the Brotherhood's sense of morals and values. She was the perfect assassin, cold and unfeeling, intent only on her mission, until Payr came along and joined the Brotherhood. For reasons not even known to her, the young man impressed her and she felt herself drawn to him. She became his loyal companion and best friend among the Brotherhood and slowly became a weaker assassin as more of Payr's morals rubbed off on her. When Payr announced he was going to Star Haven, Furina decided to go with him, as did the three other orphans from the Day of the Damned.
