JUJUTSU & CHANBARA CUP, Vrsac - SERBIA 2007

On December 1st 2007 Serbian Budo Council (SBC) held its Serbian Open Jujutsu Cup and Serbian Sports Chanbara Cup. This joint even was hosted by GOSHINKAN club from Vrsac, headed by Miss. Adrijana Barshi, also KIAI member. There were 130 competitors in Jujutsu (fights and kata) and 60 competitors in chanbara, many participating in both sports. A total of nearly 150 contestants were on the lineup in the "Millennium" center. Aside from SBC clubs from Vrsac, Pozarevac, Petrovac, Sabac, Belgrade, Smederevo and Vlaski Do, SBC had guests from Academy of Martial Arts from Brcko District in Bosnia & Hercegovina, headed by Bosko Vidovic sensei.

Competition was well organized and the competitors showed great sportsmanship and quality of technique. The best in all categories were presented with medals and diplomas. Once more the Sport Jujutsu Association of Serbia within SBC proved its leading role in Serbian Sport Jujutsu.

After the end of a long competitive day, all participants (accompanied by several other clubs from judo, taekwondo, aikijujutsu etc.) gave a "Martial Arts Night" presentation for near two hundreds spectators. National TV and local media covered the whole event.

After all seen in Vrsac, we are now absolutely sure that Serbian Sports Chanbara Association has full capability of hosting European Sports Chanbara Championship 2010, in a splendid "MILLENNIUM" center in Vrsac.
