Budo Meeting in Pozarevac, SERBIA

On Sunday 17th of June 2007 a friendly trilateral meeting of martial clubs from Pozarevac, Smederevo and Petrovac-na -Mlavi was held in Pozarevac Sports Center. There were 70 practitioners of jujutsu and chanbara (Japanese sport fencing). Aside from usual disciplines of Jujutsu Kumite and Chanbara, the three clubs also competed in the so called "jujutsu rugby", an interesting game which is a mixture of jujutsu/judo groundfight and rugby. The game was so fun that it had attracted most attention from all the observers and participants. Clubs were headed by Dr. Ivica Zdravkovic, sensei Srdjan Ilic from Petrovac and sensei Igor Kesic from "Musashi" club from Smederevo. They were assisted in refereeing by instructors and referees Srdjan Spasic, Milos Zec, Zoran Bosijokovic and others. Although results were not so important on this competition, all contestants have demonstrated very good quality, and the best were given diplomas for their victories.
