World Martial Arts Games 2007

Regensburg, Germany


Members from Shinbukan school in Pozarevac, SERBIA, took place on 2nd World Martial Arts Games (WMAG) held this July in Regensburg, Germany. They were part of Serbian National team. WMAG hosts made an extensive schedule which offered loads of activities from over 350 competitors from 16 countries. At the opening ceremony and medal awards ceremonies there were flags of Germany, Great Britain, Canada, Serbia, Netherlands, Austria, USA, Czech Republic, Spain, Ireland, Croatia, Azerbaijan...

With total of 17 medals, Serbia was among the most successful nations on WMAG. During the special "Night of the Champions" Serbia had three competitors in final bouts, with Slobodan Drakulic and Ivica Zdravkovic from Pozarevac in heavyweight Sport Jujutsu "Serbian finals".

Dr. Ivica Zdravkovic, KIAI Founder, won gold in Japanese traditional bladed weapons forms. For this competition, Zdravkovic sensei performed Taikyoku no Ken, which was passed to him from KIAI President, Hanshi Phil Scudieri. You can see an animated GIF of the performance on this page.
