HTML Basics
To open Notepad, simply follow these steps.
- From the Desktop screen on your computer, click on "Start" in the lower left corner on the taskbar.
- Scroll up the menu and highlight "Programs".
- In the new menu, scroll up and highlight "Accessories".
- In this new menu, scroll down to "Notepad" and right click on it.
- From this options menu, scroll down and highlight "Send To".
- In the new menu, scroll down to "Desktop (create shortcut)" and left click on that.
You have now created a shortcut to Notepad on your Desktop, which you simply left click on to open. You can use the
toolbar at the top of the Notepad window to open an existing file, or to save a file you have just written.
