History of Indonesian Speleology Activities

Founded in Bogor May 21th. 1980 with Dr. Robby Ko King Tjoen Md. DV Federation of Indonesian Speleology Activities (FINSPAC) is now international registered as board of representation Indonesian Speleology Activities. In the middle of 70's decade, Dr. Robby is the first Speleologist who presenting Cave's Studies with scientific approach to science community and ordinary public with his publication on Indonesian media. Now FINSPAC has at least 300 graduates of regular Speleology course with 4 level studies and 10 membership affiliation amateur speleology club around the country.

Also collaborate with National Science and Research Institution LIPI/BPPT with Mr. Prof. Dr. Eng. B.J. Habibie (Secretary of Science and Technology) as the chairman. Intensive research of karstology, geology, biology etc. with The Office of Environment Secretary and Department of Forestry and now is succesfully acertain West Gombong (one of karst site of center Java island) as National Park. In many differrent places FINSPAC asked to cave's exploring, mapping and gives advice in scientific side by local government to open site for public. FINSPAC in annualy time represent seminar and discussion to public offense.
