The Bible may be searched by verse, by Book or the entire Bible. Searches may be for a specific word, phrase or combination of words and phrases.  Any two Bibles may be brought up next to one another in a side-by-side fashion for comparative study purposes. Provision is also made for personal notes to accompany biblical text. Study notes may be made per verse of biblical text.

The Bible Database 2000 is currently a beta version and the intention is to add more features over time. If you find any programming bugs, or would like to see particular features in future versions, please let us know by sending and E-mail. (If you send us a bug report, please include as much detail describing what happened when the error occurred).

** The inclusion of popular translations such as the New International Version (NIV) and the New King James Version (NKJV) are not available at present since the text of these is subject to copyright and the copyright holders require huge royalties.

This page will no longer be updated. Updates will only be done on the NON Microsoft Access version

Bible Database 2000 is freeware so there is no software license required. Distribute as many copies as you wish. However, you do need to have Microsoft Access 2000 installed on your computer in order to use it.

Each file is a self-extracting zip file. To install once it has been downloaded, double click on file for it file to self-extract. A window will open asking you which folder you would like to place the output file in. The default folder is c:\BibleDatabase\.  A new file will be created in this folder - this is the Access database file.

To run Bible Database, double click on BibleDatabase.mde to open it. Once open, a menu system as well as a help file is available to guide you through the installation of any modules you wish to install.

TIP #1: To add a shortcut to your Desktop, Right Click on the filename (BibleDatabase.mde) and select “Copy”. Go to your Desktop and Right Click again, this time select “Paste Short Cut” – not “paste”
