You are looking at a brand new, redesigned page of Yugoslav motorcycle racing site www.MotoSport.co.yu. During the winter period we tried to make our site work and look better, and to prepare interesting odds for incoming season. Because there is a lot of interesting moto sites in English language about world championship, we are not going to translate in English all news from Serbian page, but only those concerning Yugoslav championship. Our goal is to help foreign visitors to meet all the excitments of our championship, and to call all riders and teams worldwide to come to our tracks and show their best.

28.05.2001. Vrsac 2001 - race results
125ccm	250ccm	As we seen, race in Vrsac was full of excitments. Race was international, and reacers from Macedonia and Bulgaria participated in race. As we heard from riders, new track is great - safe and fast. Many riders said that this is our best track, so it is good news that two races are going to be held on this track.	125ccm serial		Superbike

07.06.2001. Racing calendar for 2001
Three more races are planed for this year. Vrsac and Novi Sad are going to host two more races, and remaining one is going to be held in Kraljevo, on the Beranovac racetrack.This year's calendar is richer for one new racetrack, Vrsac. Races in Vrsac are held on the Vrsacs sport-airport, and riders say that this is the safest track in our championship....	11/12.08. - Vrsac 01/02.09. - Kraljevo 15/16.09. - Novi Sad

28.05.2000. Hot race

All races held today were point-scored both for Yugoslav and Balcan championship. As we expected, the most exciting race was in 250ccm class, where Predrag Popovic, pole setter, dominated almost the whole race. Unfortunantely, his Honda was not able to follow his rhythm, so he finished race behind Perisic and Stankovic. Great battle for first position also took place in 125ccm class, where last year`s champion, Golinger Nikola, managed to score first place in last lap, in a front of Nemanja Todorovic. As we heard later, Golinger planned to visit the race only as a spectator, but M5-Racing crew noticed him, and offered him to drive for them. To win was his way to say thanks! Popovic in action of taking pole position from last year`s champion

27.05.2000 Battle for pole position

Race season in Yugoslav championship started in a big way. Many Yugoslav and foreign drivers fought today for pole position for the race that is going to take place tomorrow. In 50ccm class, last year`s champion, Nemanja Todorovic was the fastest again. The gap between him and Isidor Fodor, who took second grid position, was more than 3 seconds. In 125ccm class, Todorovic was the fastest again, ahead of last year`s champion, Golinger Nikola, who is no more Todorovic`s teammate.Looks like that Golinger`s Honda,prepared by M5 Racing team is not as fast as his lastyear`s Aprillia, race prepared

by FIAT-VESIC. Greatest effort in today`s training session was commited by Predrag Popovic in 250ccm class, which took pole position in spite of his bike which is anything but the fastest bike in the class. Popovic is followed by Ceklic Milos, on his Aprillia, bought from Loris Capirosi`s team for last year`s season. As we expected, track-record holder, Marijan Malec, was the fastest today in Superbike training session, followed by his teammate Boris Hercigonja. Perisic Dragoslav managed to take 3rd grid position for tomorrow`s race. It is interesting to say that Malec and Hercigonja, well known racers in European championship, signed contract for this year with FIAT-VESIC racing team. For training results, click here...

15.05.2000. Season is going to start!

First race of Yugoslav 2000. championship is going to take place in Novi Sad, on "Miseluk" racetrack. Race is going to be held on next Sunday, May the 28th, and it`s organized by "SAMK Novi Sad". As we have heard, some of the European Championship riders are going to participate, so we are expecting a very exciting race. As soon as the race is finished, we are going to place results on site, and our impressions too. Stay tuned...

New classes
Very popular classes 125ccm and Superbike are going to be extended for the incoming season. Under 125ccm class is going to be a sub-class of serial 125ccm bikes, which is going to be point-rated separately. Superbike and Superstock classes, which were united last year, are going to be extended with Supersport class, one of the most popular classes in the world. As in the case of 125ccm class, new class will be point-rated separately. Technical specifications for all classes are FIM compatibile, that enables foreign racers to participate in Yugoslav races, which are often international. This also enables our racers to participate the international stage. New classes also aim to involve more drivers into the championship, and to make races more attractive for visitors.

Season 1999. review
Year 1999. was very difficult for our championship. After the war, some of racing-tracks were dammaged, fuel problems occured, financial problems also, so that was very hard to organize a race in those conditions. In spite of that, our racing-teams succeded to organize four races, which were very successful and exciting.

Peace race - August 8-th 1999.
The first race of the season is organized by "AMKK Dijamant" from Arandjelovac. Racetrack: Beranovac. Audience: about 8000 people. Competitors: 37 in 4 classes. For training results, click here... For race results, click here...

Novi Sad `99 - September 26-th 1999.
Race is organized by "SAMK Novi Sad" from Novi Sad. Racetrack: Miseluk. Audience: about 20000 people. Competitors: 38 in 4 klasses. For training results, click here... For race results, click here...
