The story of CRONOS starts in July 1993 , when Adrian Ungureanu, Bogdan Viºan and Cristian Eftimie have made the first line-up, singing a Heavy Metal with Punk influences.

In January 1994 Felix Fuierea join the band and this thing change the style of the band. The first recording was made in January 1994 in their own studio and his name was Începutul sfârºitului (The Beginning Of The End). This demo was one of the best in the Romanian Underground. In this demo CRONOS plays a mixture between aggressive Death Metal and Doom elements.

From April 1994 the drummer Dan Petrescu join the band and for two years band remains in the same line-up: Adrian Ungureanu -keyboards, Bogdan Viºan -bass and vocals, Felix Fuierea -guitars and Dan Petrescu -drums.

Recorded in July 1994 , Coºmar was the second demo album recorded by CRONOS. Coºmar is a conceptual album about the spiritual freedom with Romanian lyrics for an easy reception of the musical message of the album.

In September 1995 Cronos live I was the first live video tape from the Romanian underground. In 1996 they are included in the second volume of the compilation Underground Romania and in August 1996 Felix and Bogdan leave the band and after moments of baffle Rãzvan Alexandru and Vlad Buºcã join the band and they perform live at the promotion of the second compilation Knock Knock Rock, based on tracks from "Coºmar". In the end of the year the video tape Cronos Live II (50 minutes) is the result of a full year.

In the beginning of 1997 CRONOS are:

  • Adrian Ungureanu - keyboards;
  • Dan Petrescu - drums;
  • Vlad Buºcã - bass;
  • Mihai Drãgan - vocals;
  • Andrei Gânga - lead guitars (one of the best from the Romanian underground).

The five from CRONOS are settled to make the first official record, the EP ... Si voi ucide timpul (…And I Will Kill The Time), including four new tracks with new progressive influences.
