Safe-t-turn makes unplugging electrical appliances safer and easier. Electrical outlets and extension cords should provide tight contact to avoid fire hazards, however this causes problems for people who find it hard to grip the small plug body and exert the necessary force to unplug it. Sometimes people touch the metal prongs and get shocked while trying to remove the plug.
Safe-t-turn, designed as a self-help device for people with little or no hand strength, is a newly patented device that remedies these problems. This safe and reliable device increases the user's hand force by using a smooth turning motion to remove the plug instead of the normal pulling one. At the same time it decreases the risk of electrical shock by blocking the exposed metal prongs. This unique device can easily be slipped over each of your existing electrical plugs, decreasing the stress of removal and reducing the danger of electrocution throughout your home.
I am currently trying to find ways to distribute Safe-t-turn to the people who need it.
