You can print out a copy of all your bookmarks by openning your bookmark.htm file in a "text editor" like Wordpad and then printing from there. Make sure it's a "text editor" not a "word processor".

If you have other addresses from other applications and you would like to import them into Messenger's address book, just go to File->Import and select the file you want and then click Open and your address book has been updated.

Netscape 4 won't load Java unless it needs to. That speeds up load time if you aren't going to use Java that session, however there are times that you might want to load it anyways like when you are offline. To do so go to "Java Console" under "Windows". This will start up java even if you are offline.

Save your messages to send later. To do this, create the message as usual, but in the new message Composition window select File, Send Later, instead of clicking on Send. Now the message is stored in your Outbox folder. Later, when you're connected to the Net, you can send all the messages in the Outbox at the same time. Just select File, Send Unsent Messages from the Messenger menu.

RECEIVING ATTACHMENTS AS LINKS. When you receive a message that contains a graphic image or an HTML file attached, it displays it automatically in the message. This can cause the message to render slooooowly and take up space, however. Communicator gives you the option of receiving these attachments as links, rather than as inline images. To set this up, open Messenger and select View, Attachments, As Links.

CHECKING ATTACHMENTS. Most attachments made using the Messenger Mailbox will arrive at their destination without a hitch. Once in a while, however, you'll discover that a recipient can't run the attached file, or that the file has been corrupted in some way. If this happens, send the message again, but before clicking on Send, click on the Message Sending Options tab in the Composition window's address pane (it's the one under the paper clip). Select the option Uuencode instead of MIME for attachments. Now Messenger will use an alternate (older) encoding method for the message attachments.
