Indonesian Story

Indonesian

Malayo-Polynesian/Indonesian/Indonesian

Indonesian is the national language of the Republic of Indonesia, and is spoken by about 125 million people. When independence was declared in 1945, bahasa Indonesia was decreed as the country's official language.

Indonesian is virtually the same language as Malay, spoken in Malaysia. The principal difference is in the spelling, the Indonesian system developed by the Dutch, the Malay by the British.

Indonesian is considered both one of the most easiest languages to learn, as well as the most beautiful. While the first claim is disputable, the second one is not. The rudiments can be learned in an hour, but Indonesian has a complex prefix system for verbs that does not follow consistant patterns. Indonesian lacks words for the and a, and does not use the present tense of to be.
