The feeling is Chicken is the most intelligent character of the show. Although he
is only 11, he is quite acknowledged with the bitterness of life. He's much more of a
down-to-earth guy than the rest of the characters. He's pretty much self-governed and
usually doesn't listen to mum's wise advice (such as: "Never drive your head into
a wooden plank"). Besides disobedient, he is also inventive, but his inventions
(such as submarine, comet-hit-protecting underwear) don't always work the way he thought
they would. He has further talents: for example, he won a national trophy at plastic
surgery for his school and once a second place in school's best essay competition.
Although he thinks his sister Cow is stupid, he likes her very much and stands-up for her
when she's in trouble.

Chicken's little sister is actually quite a bit bigger than him (and she weights
300 lb. too). She is not as smart as Chicken (after all she's almost 5 years younger than
him), but she has common sense. Needless to say, she is much more obedient than her
brother. She's the one who usually reminds Chicken of mum's wise advice. She's a very
loving person - she loves her brother, parents and her beaver doll Piles very much. Her
talents include producing superb milk and sumo wrestling. She's very good with school work
(she won that essay contest I was telling you about). Her secret identity as a Super Cow
with special powers (such as flying abilities) allows her to fight for the right cause,
but most importantly it allows her to get her big brother out of troubles.

Red Guy is the bad guy in Cow and Chicken cartoons. Usually he tries to pick on
Chicken but Super Cow prevents that and that's why he hates her. He plays many different
roles (doctor, director, drill sergeant, admiral, old neighbor, owner of a bar, owner of a
chicken farm, owner of the arcades,...) not just in Cow And Chicken cartoons, but also in
I Am Weasel shows (created by same crowd than Cow And Chicken). Besides the episodes where
he is the bad guy, there are certain other episodes where he's not evil (such as the
episode Child Star where he plays the wanna-be famous Hollywood director). He
also plays all kinds of (evil) fairies (the copyroom fairy, the molting fairy,...).

The funny thing about Cow and Chicken's mom and dad is that the animators never
show their upper body. You only see their feet. And they perform every action (start the
car, turn page,...) with them, too. Both of them are very proud of their kids but also
very concerned about them. If they start thinking that there's something wrong with Cow
and Chicken, they immediately take action (they send them to military school if they act
too soft or they send for doctor if the kids are not afraid of darkness etc.). There is
one more specialty about Mom: she always gives very wise advise (such as: "Never
run to a carnival naked", or "Never run into a burning school
auditorium",...).

Flem and Earl are Cow and (especially) Chicken's buddies. They go to school,
camping and do other things together. Flem and Earl are not something one would call

Cousin Boneless is famous for not having any bones. The Red Guy took advantage of
that fact once and used poor Boneless as a kite. Luckily, Boneless is not bitter about not
having bones. In fact, he often cracks jokes about it and makes Cow and Chicken (who, by
the way, like cousin Boneless very much) laugh. Otherwise, he is a "single
bachelor" who has hot dates all time (or at least Chicken believes so).
