Killer Combos for the Humans
1) First Battle Fleet/Second Battle Fleet/Coordinated Fire: With these two fleets working together, not much can stand in their way. Besides the obvious advantage of having two of your fleets attack an opponent's fleet, your opponent can only attack one of your fleets in return. With this, you can stand up to even the Grey Council Fleet.
2) Covert Allies/Luis Santiago: Deploy the enhancement on Santiago and he immediatly gains six intrigue. A neat little trick, if you ever need some intrigue quick.
3) The Lord Refa Surprise: If you can, sponsor Lord Refa using any of the cost reducing aftermaths or the Disaffected Centauri. The Centauri unrest growes by one when you do, and unrest will play a pivotal role in the new expansion set, The Shadows. Besides, he's got great intrigue.
4) Nightmares/Despair: If you lose a conflict, give your opponent a Doom Mark with the Nightmares aftermath. When you lose another give Despair to your enemy, and then go kick some butt. His characters then have a -1 in that ability for the next turn, so use it well.
